goodbye ol friend

Had to say goodbye to a old friend of 16 years My kitty Bob his little heart gave out. I found him in basement barley alive on a sunday of course Emergency's never happen when Vets office is open. After many frantic calls found a vet who would open his office for me. Rushed him up to the vets but it was too late his body was shutting down. heart was beating very slow so slow he was given enough drugs to kill a horse the first injection went in and nothing had to give 2 more before his little heart stopd trying to beat. Vet said due to slow heart beat drug wasn't going through his body. I felt like such a bad mom having to give so many shots to end his suffering 3 in total. He died in my arms I held on to his little body so tightly on the way home he just looked like he was sleeping he was my first pet I got when I moved out on to my own had always wanted a cat I picked him out of a litter of 6 . He was such a good cat I will miss my Robert aka BOB kitty He was a talker he'd answer you back and loved to be brushed. He also gave little love bites when you'd pet him he'd grab on to some skin on your arm with his teeth and hold on never bite hard just hold on to you for a min or 2. His way of saying hey don't stop now you missed an itchey spot right over there!. I still and always will miss him. I put him in my flower garden right next to his favorite sunning spot. I love him and miss him so very much till we meet again. Keep grandpa n grandma company for me Bob.

Oh...I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is. You had him for a long time. He sounds like such a nice cat. I know...I had to put my two original cats of 18 yrs. down not too long ago. It's very hard. And I had the same trouble with one of them....it took a few shots to work...very sad.

I send my thoughts and prayers to you that your pain will lighten up as some time passes.

I'm sorry, Pupplove. If you need someone to talk to other than us, here is a link to some pet loss and bereavement sites. http://globalpaw.com/showthread.php?t=1390
