Snuggles

Since about Feb the vet has had Snuggles on Vetmedin for congestive heart failure. Lasix as needed. I came home this morning from work and he was standing in the living room breathing hard.I carried him to the vet and he gave him Enalapril and Spironolactone to help his heart. It was beating so hard. We got home and I put him on his pillow and gave him the medicine. Went to the yard a few and came in and he had gotten up and went to the water bowl. He then got up and came to where I was. I was on the computer and would turn around and talk to him. The last time I did...he was gone. My baby is gone. His little heart couldn't take it anymore. He was my best friend and my heart. He will be truly missed. I had him 13 years and now the lord has a very special little angel by his side. His memory will always be with me. I have 2 more and I love them dearly also, but it was just me and Snuggles for the first 5-6 years of his life. A few of those were rough years and he was there listening. My heart is hurting. His little heart will have no more trouble and he is pain free.

This is not good-bye by dear friend....I will see you again and we will pick up where we left off.
All my love my little Hunnybunny Pooh Bear
Mom

Please tell me when the hurt starts to ease. I miss him terribly. I am good during the day at work, it is when I get home and all gets settled I feel the loss. Tigger and Shadow help, but I still can't keep the tears from falling. I'm sorry, not to many around me understand.

Your loss is so recent the pain hasn't had time to ease yet especially when your day settles down and your mind is at rest.

Perhaps your pain will lessen a bit if you envision your sweet Snuggles at the Rainbow Bridge breathing quite easily, with a healthy heart and once again able to romp & play like a pup while he patiently waits for the day when you are reunited.

As time passes you will eventually see that one of your treasured memories will bring a smile to your face instead of tears to your eyes.

This is the place to come where others know the pain you are feeling and understand what it is to have some friends/family not realize how the loss of a loved pet makes one feel.

(((((hugs))))))

Iam very sorry for your Loss and i can tell that your pain will not ease for a relative long Time.If you loose a beloved Pet that you carry in your Heart so deep it is as if somebody took a piece of your Heart and Soul away and it will take a long Time to heal this deep wound. When my first Dog left us(she was 13 Years )the Pain was awful.I caught myself even a whole Year later making a big Leap over the Spot in Front of our Bedroom door were she used to sleep at Night...Iam sorry, but no,it will not go away for a long Time, but it will heal.I still start to cry if i only read about other Pets who crossed Rainbow Bridge,Pets i never knew, and on the other Hand when i read about what their owners have to tell,i feel like i knew them like my own.Oh ,yes sometimes a Memory of her comes into my mind and i smile, and then the Tears come right away. And even her Body left us 3 Years ago,her Spirit is still here, she is with me all the Time and sometimes i still feel her gentle Touch.....Remember Snuggles and all the Good that he gave you during your Years together, thats why he came into this World and even if you cannot understand it,he had to walk on,his Job here on Earth was done and this little Creature did it as best as he could.Rest in Peace ,Snuggles,my Thoughts are with you,Chele.

Everyone here is great. Thanks. Thinking of him in a green field with daisies running and jumping makes my heart smile sadly. His hip no longer hurts and his little heart is beating like a young pups. He loses his breath because he has played to hard! His big beautiful brown eyes are sparkling. I know one day I will see him again. The memories with him are all wonderful. He was my little man and I love him dearly. Even though I knew my days were numbered with him I still wasn't ready. That day at the vet I had him wrapped him in a blanket to help hold him. As I sat there waiting, he looked up at me sadly and laid his head on my chest...in my heart right then I knew. My baby was tired and ready to rest. He stayed as long as he could cause I begged him not to leave me. I know it was hard for him to go....but his little heart gave out.
