OK.....I have purchased Sophie's crate, with all this information and all the reading I have done, I still need to ask one more question (this is getting embarrassing for me now
........Do I encourage Sophie to sleep in there any time during the day, with the door open? By the way Sophie is a Cavalier King Charles ! Someone did ask me that. I will have to pack the other end with something too, I purchased one that will be good for her when she is an adult. It was on special too $50 off She is nearly 10 weeks old as well. |

Hey! Don't be embarrassed about asking questions. That's one of the purposes of the forum. People love to help out. It's great to share what some of us have already done and see that others benefit. So, ask away. Good luck. Yes....it's great to break the pup in gradually and leave the door open as long as you are around to supervise if she comes out and gets into something. You can even feed her her meals in there and toys/treats....anything to associate it with a nice time..her own, quiet get away. (den) LOL.

Everyone told me to crate train my puppy, but I've house broken her in 2 weeks (she's only 9 weeks now). She sleeps in my bed, and wakes me up when she has to go outside. I honestly think it's about getting down a set schedule for eating and going outside, and not coming back inside until the puppy does its business. She hasn't had an accident in over a week, and the last one was becuase I napped through her potty time!
