My friend is getting a chiweenie...
Well my friend Angel has a chihuahua who about a year ago accidently got pregnant the dad was a dachshund. Well now the daughter got pregnant...this time the dad was a dachshund again. Angels mom was home during the delivery and let her ouside to pee. She had 3/4 babies outside on the back porch. Her mom saw them and figured they were dead (it was freezing outside). She did not try to rub them or anything to bring life back into them. She just threw them in the woods. Well now the mom is taking care of only the one one puppy. Born december 13. Angels mom wants them both (mother and puppy) gone now. The poor mom was never completly house trained because her step mom doesn't let her out often enough so she pottys all over the house. How early is the earliest this puppy can safely go to my friend Kati i'm afraid her step mom will do something harsh to her?

OK, I'm not sure if I understand the exact question.
Mom and newborn pup should not be moved until the pup is about two weeks old. If this person is taking both mom and pup, she could take them then. However, if they are being split up, pup ideally should stay with mom until the pup is 8 weeks old. This may be a case of extenuating circumstances however, and if the mom or pup are in considerable danger of abuse, do what is best for the dog at the time! |

This is a perfect example of people who shouldn't own animals, what a disgrace
! And I don't mean you Doglover but the other people. |

What a sad situation. This wicked stepmother makes Cinderella's look like a fairy god mother. I agree with the others. I hope you or someone can take both mother and pup until pup is old enough....more like 10 weeks for such a tiny dog. I hope your friend gets out of that situation with that screwed up woman. Let us know what happens, will you? Bless you for caring and looking into it.

There are some people in this world that make me utterly sick to my stomach. Ok, so the step mom didn't want the momma dog or the pups....if you're not the animal lovin type, take the pregnant mom to someone who can and will love and care for the entire family of dogs! There are plenty of people out there (just look at this forum) who would be more than willing to help raise some puppies. GOSH! don't people have hearts anymore. This is a textbook case of the "evil stepmother". hey, we should write a Disney movie...but in our movie all the animals would like happily ever after. And the evil step mother goes crazy and gets locked up for the rest of her life.

This post is actually a year old. The puppy has a good home with my friend now and the mom also has a good home as well. Angel my friend has found someone else to live with as well.
Here is a post I made a while ago with pictures of him. He looks alot different now but these are the only pics I have of him. http://www.globalpaw.com/puppy-forum...tle-puppy.html (What a cute little puppy!) |
