yea my pup does the same thing, he is about 7months, but just leave the food there, and if he doesnt eat it its ok, maybe you should try giving smaller portions also, it maybe he is overwhelmed with what he is getting, although dogs are animals that gorge on wht they can when they can, this i think is okay, for example, brody didnt eat his Breakfast this morning, but every now and then he will come and take a bite, but IMO there is nothing to worry about, anyone else have any info??
hope that this helps!

Yup perfectly normal. My Husky is 2 now and has been doing it his entire life and still does. Huskies are notorious for not eating more than they needand being able to retain every bit of nutrient in each kibble piece so on his good days (usually during winter) he will eat 2cups, but most days during the summer he is quite happy with just one cup of kibble.

Cheers!

Very normal, my 2 Siberians go for days sometimes without eating. Sometimes I think they're fasting LOL

Sheiba is the worst... she will go days and days without eating, unless it's chicken. LOL But she eventually comes around and will eat normally. While she's in heat, she eats ALOT and then after her heat, she "fasts". As if she thinks shes fat and has to loose weight LOL

Yep I agree that it is normal too! Sunny went through that same thing when she was a pup. Whimper my other dog use to do that all the time. Especially if I would leave for a day or two. I would always warn whomever was watching her not to worry that she would eventuall eat but it never failed I would get the hysterical call saying she wont eat! I use to laugh and say she will eat when she is hungry but don't worry she wont starve to death. LOL

He's beautiful! He's english bullie, right?? Cute...

My two pups do this as well; actually, they didn't eat this morning either. Shelby does it too, she'll go for a couple days without eating sometimes, then, she's normal again...Weird! But, yeah, it's normal. I was wondering the same thing a couple of days ago.

Good luck with your baby!

Dogs in the wild may be unlucky in their hunting aquisitions and go hungry for days and days. Then, viola! They get a big catch and gorge themselves all at once. That may hold them just fine for a few more days.

Of course, there are both types of dogs. I have two who, if allowed would eat the whole big bag of dog food all at once....my boy chi mix and my Lab. The other two, the Chihuahua girl and my Doberman are much more dainty and light eaters.
