Was it a good choice?

Well, my grandparents mini poodle had to be put down, because she was 14 and very very old, so my grandpa decided to put her down. But then they got a malteese, PUPPY. They said before they got the pup that they didnt want to get a puppy because it was too much work, and then they go ahead and get one. The pup is doing fine, recorvering from health problems, but my main concern is that the pup will get to much for them to handle, and he will become another victum of nobody wanting him Is there anything i can do about this?

Well there isn't anything you can do besides support them and if they don't want the puppy after then you do something...

If you live nearby them help them out with the pup.

Good luck!

Was it a good choice? Depends on the people involved really, and since I don't know them I can't say for sure.

Best thing you can do, as ilovemypup has said, is to support them. Give them advice and help when they need it (no matter how frustrating they may be). Could also be helpful to point them towards a few sites on raising puppies (maybe some good books if you know of any) and training (simple stuff though, most people won't bother if the book is 300 pages of text about dog psychology...unfortunately). Youtube have some great videos about training too, you could maybe do a search on there and give them the links.

Cass.

Support the dog, That the best thing to do. Try to help out as much as possible. If your really concerned about this pup than keep him as your own IF it gets out of hand

I always swore I woud never get a puppy but got Lucy. If their dog lived 14 years they did something right and i'm sure they will be good dog owners for this puppy. Now my grandmother on the other hand goes through dogs like she does clothing...

I also think it depends on your grandparents. If they've had their poodle for so long, I think they'll be OK. As stated, all you can do is give your support, give advice, etc.
