As soon as you get the pup. Just remember though, that he/she won't be able to hold it very long, so be sure to take him/her out very often and give praise when the pup uses the bathroom outside! If he/she has an accident inside, talk in a scolding manner (but don't use physical reprimanding) and take the pup outside and talk in a happy tone. You can even soak up/ pick up the mess with a paper towel, place it outside in front of the pup and say the word you want him/her to learn using the bathroom outside is, such as "potty" or "peepee." Just remember to be consistent, and don't despair about the accidents! Good luck!!

It’s never to early to start training your puppy, but remember, your puppies just a baby, and he has the memory span of 003 seconds :-D I would not start walking your puppy until he has all his puppy shots. When you get him, he should have his first series of shots, you’ll have to get him two more series before I would take him for a walk * this is just what I remember, I haven’t had a puppy for a year almost two.*

Yes it is bad to walk them without shots, especially out in areas other dogs have been in. An unvaccinated pup can get SOOO many different diseases, many fatal, and many very very expensive to treat. Parvo is one of them, and it is an awful experience for pup and owner to go through. Many puppies do not make it through parvo.
The cost of shots depend on the vet, but you will also want to get the pup fully checked out too, which costs. I think I remember Tasmo being around $100 on the first visit. But it is worth the money. |

IF you walk him without all his shots, he is more susceptible to pick up disease from other animals. I wouldn’t risk it, and aren’t you going to get a Chihuahua?
About the shots, when you get him, he should already be have his wormer in, I think all your really getting is his booster shots, but I might be wrong. It’ll probably cost you $100 for all of them |

If your getting a really small dog like a chihuahua, you can train him/her to use either the wee-wee pad or litter box. Dog litter is sold in most pet stores. I wouldn't be taking the puppy for walks at all until it's a few months old and has completed the first series of shots. Parvo is a really nasty disease which is almost always fatal. Hope you post pictures of your new additon.
