new puppy...socalization

So we got a new puppy a few weeks ago. Our first dog had been fostered and was very socialized. She is not an alpha bitch, in fact if she's meeting more than one dog at a time she rolls belly up. Our new puppy is about 8 months old and we got her from the shelter. She is a bit more aggressive, not so much with other dogs, but rather people. With us she is sweet as can be, just like a teddy bear, but with new people she's just not sure. My fiance' and I brought them with us to visit my family, and she just isn't sure about my parents. I just am not sure how to go about making her more comfortable around people other than us!

Carry tiny bits of treats all the time and give new people some to give her. Maybe she will soon learn that strangers are nice. (Kind of an opposite concept when raising kids isn't it)

It works for dogs who could eventually become fear biters if not trained.
