See What My Puppy Can Do!

Tell Niki "Hello, Niki," and she will give you her paw to shake

Tell Niki "Hi fives" and raise your open palm straight up, and Niki will lift her paw straight up to meet and touch your palm.

Tell Niki "Turn off the light," and Niki will go to my wall (in my room only so far) and she will turn off the light switch with her paws or her mouth if she cannot reach well (depending on how she has positioned her paws).

Tell Niki "Are you a good puppy?" or "show me you are a good puppy," and Niki will sit straight up and look at you.
Tell Niki "Are you a VERY good puppy?" or "I want to see a VERY good puppy," and Niki will go down.
(She will still sit or go down if you simply just say "sit" or "down." the above are additional especially if she wants to get something.)

Tell Niki to "stay," and almost always she will stay and wait until I put my shoes on (I am outside of the door and she waits inside the door) or until I tell her it is ok to eat her food, or until I order food at the restaurant while she waits outside on the patio (of course tied slightly for added security, but she will not move the chair along with her; she just waits patiently).

Niki does all these and more (like fetching the right toy on command out of the three toys that I will throw at the same time) or sometimes (If I ask) she will bring my keys when she wants to go out (we still work on that because she LOVES chewing them

However, she is VERY dominant and she is still learning who REALLY is the boss and definetely is not HER!

Niki finished her 8 week basic obedience course this past Saturday and we are waiting for her graduation certificate from Falco k9 Academy (they train police dogs and pet dogs).

In a couple weeks, Niki is starting her intermediate obedience classes. She is 51 pounds at 51/2 months!

Isn't she a WONDERFUL puppy??! Oh, come on, admit it!

Yes, I am an amazing puppy! And you know what? I only do my tricks in my home; except twice that I decided to give my mommy a break, I always embarass her when she wants to show me off. I just look at her and stay still. It is too funny to watch her trying to make me perform my tricks and I pretend that I know nothing

The one with Santa at Petsmart (she is also on my avatar) and another one standing up at the Long Beach dog show -- not as a member, just as a visitor. lol wow a very smart dog you have, My dogs the exact same way knows a book full of tricks, but around anyone else totally blocks his trick intellegence, even though he still does listen to "come" and "stay" lol.

Niki has started to do the tricks in public too! But she does them when she is not tired.
