Swollen Eye lid (pictures)

Hey! My puppy Chloe seems to have some swelling on her right eye lid. Right now it doesnt seem to be bothering her, she isnt scratching it or doesnt seem to be in any pain. I just only noticed it now when she got up from her nap. The vets are closed at the moment. Is there anything I can do to make the swelling go away? Is this something serious?

Here are pictures...

I called and emergency vet clinic, they told me to give her some baby benadril, and see if it works. He also said that it was his 3rd call today about the same thing. Maybe some bugs that are out durring this time bit her or something.

Yep, an allergic reaction to something it appears and if the medication works great BUT keep a close eye on her and if the swelling gets worse, she begins coughing, wheezing, starts to whine a bunch or vomiting take her in right away!

Those are just a few things to watch for but at least it will give you some idea.

Does the county spray for mosquitoes around your area? When I was in FL. my moms dog looked the same way every time the city sprayed. Maybe you could also use some eye wash and see it that helps. Poor girl. I hope you do find out what it is.
