Smile 11 week old german shepherd

Hi all.
I have an 11 week old german shepherd called billy.
I also have a 7 year old german shepherd called buster.
We have had billy since he was just over 7 weeks old.
He has had his 1st injection and will have his 2nd one on the 7th june.

Buster lives in quite a big pen & has a shed to sleep in, this is where billy will be living when he gets bigger.
At the moment billy lives in the house and sleeps in our kitchen.

We haven't left billy and buster alone at all yet as we have been told not too for at least another month.
I worry about them as it is because when billy is around buster I put him on his lead so he can't run free around buster, what billy does is try to bite buster at near enough every chance he gets .
I don't want billy to get hurt by buster coz he's alot bigger than billy.
Does anyone have any ideas for intergrating them so they can spend time together safely.

Thanks
Saz

You should introduce them on neutral territory (like a neighbor's backyard or a local park).

Thanks for your reply..........
we've done that, and we let them meet up quite a few times a day...in the house, in the garden etc and we have a stable door as our back door. We leave the top part open near enough all day and busters pen starts from that door so he can hear & see billy if he jumps up...We were told by our local rspca to keep letting them meet as much as we can each day for a month or so before we leave them on thier own....at 1st we'll only leave them for a couple of minutes but that won't be till at least july.

The thing is that Buster views the yard and the house as HIS, and he sees Billy as an intruder. Neutral territory they don't consider their's, and are less likely to view eachother as intruders.

BTW, your dogs are absolutely adorable!

Heres an update on my 2 boys. Billy is now 8 months (and 88lbs)and has just been neutered (monday just gone). he had his check up today & they said the wound looks like it was done a week or so ago so he no longer needs the collar and can be treated as normal. Billy's training is going great too we've now move up from puppy class to the next class

Buster & billy are getting on great, they spend all day together except when it's bed time ... the door to the pen/run is always open so they can both come in or go out when ever they want. A little while ago we left them on thier own for about an hour & they acted exactly the same as they normally do, so we left them an extra 10 mins each time & now they have been together for about 3 hours on thier owns with no nastyness at all.

I'll find some recent pic's and post them up

Beautiful furbabies! I just love it when they sleep like that ...all fours in the air ., to me it show they are very at home and loved.
