Moulting Black Lab Puppy

Help, my 13 week old puppy is moulting at a great speed. Is this normal for such a young dog ??

Its normal for dogs to do it this time of year. With the heat and chainging seasons he will.
My Samoyed is shedding like crazy right now. He did it last year at this time too, and he was only 4 months old then.

Look for lots of shedding in the spring and the fall. Just take him outside each morning and give him a good brushing. He will feel much better too.

Can you see patches if skin or is he just shedding a lot?

Is it all over your pups body or just in some spots?



If it's all over it is pretty normal of this time of year, especially with the extreme heat! This is most likely what is going on.

But, if it is just in a certain spot you might want to contact your vet, it could be a hot spot.
