I have a I have a 10 month old Pug girl named Bella and she is CHEWING my house down...well not actually....but she is chewing the walls in some places, and if anything is accidentally left, she finds it and chews it. She has also chewed the very leather chair that I am sitting in, thank God there is some stuffing left. PLEASE .... any insight. She is played with a ton, and has lots of chew toys that she LOVES....I don't know what her problem is....I mean the walls? Thanks! ~~Ready to lose it in Pa ![]() |

Don't let her have the run of the house unless you have time to watch her every second so you can correct any unwanted bad habits. When you can't watch her then she should be in her crate.

Pug Mom

Hi there.. right now we have a 5 month old pug, a 1 year old, and 3 older ones. I've found that offering toys of varying textures helps. Lots of long walks, too. And CRATING. I do not leave the youngest unsupervised, so she doesn't get the chance to chew anything up. So even with two youngsters, we don't have much of a problem.
Was wondering how your pug was doing, hadn't heard about her in awhile. |

We had a problem with Cooper chewing the walls when he was younger. He was crated, but could get through the bars with his nose to reach the wall. We moved him out away from the floor and he eventually grew out of it.
If Bella is doing all of this while your away. You could try getting her tired befroe you leave... let her run around in the yard for awhile. You can also give her diffrent toys with diffrent textures to chew on. We give our guys kongs, stuffed with several diffrent things, when we are going to be away for longer than 3 hours, so they arent sitting in their crates doing nothing, and they love them. Also, you might want to think about crating Bella when you leave the house, all of our dogs are crated or in a designated area while we are away, and have been since they came home, so now they have come dependent on their crate, or their space. |
