Lulu has turned into Harley!

Ok, you guys konw how I was supposed 2 b getting the Mini Daschund? Well I was at Mall of America (20 min away from me) and my moms friend that was giving the puppy 2 us called when we were in Suncoast and said, " I am holding the cutest chihuahua puppy ever, and he's for sale!" My mom's like really, and then her friend said, "The guy will make a trade, his chihuahua for your mini daschund!" We were all so excited! Then my mom's friend is like, "Will you do it?" We're like ,"heck yeah!"
So long story short our mini daschund Lulu, just turned into Harley, the black and tan chihuahua! Oh, by the way, Lulu's only 3 weeks old right now so she won't suffer us missing her or her missing us. Harley is now 6 weeks and we get him in 2 weeks. I'll post pictures!! Oh, if your memory space for pics if full on your account, how do u add more?? Give me your comments, what will this lil guy wanna chew on anywa, we have a older chihuahua so he can use big things, I guess smaller toys huh, like microscopic. He only weighs 5 ozs right now! Thanks you guys!

Did you tell the other two they were getting a baby brother?

If he's anything like most chihuahua's, he will flex his muscles and play with the "big" toys. I just love watching the tiny ones drag around toys three times their size or more. Can't wait to see pictures and maybe a group shot too.

Awww that's so adorable!! But personally, I wouldn't trade my dog for ANY dog in the world.

I've never met a chihuahua who knew he was a chihuahua......they tend to think theyre Great Danes...lol

Congrats on your new arrival. I have no idea what a Chihuahua pup might need that would be different from any other pup (my Chi's a rescue too, got him when he was about 5yrs old

).
Is this pup another rescue or from a breeder this time? How exactly did the 'swap' thing work? I'm a little confused.

Ok, here's how it worked. First, there was the phone conversation thing, then my mom's friend said that we could have a chihuahua puppy, if we gave him a mini daschund. Like I said, I've only seen Lulu once and she was 2 weeks old so I didnt really get to know her. Does anyone know how 2 post pics after the memory is full?!

Pictures - What do you mean the memory is full? Are you using photobucket or tinypic or something similar to host your images? If so, you'll need to either delete some older pictures to make room or go to another site and use that to host the new images instead.

dogs - I'm still not sure I understand. Do you breed Dachshund's and you're giving them one of your pups in exchange for one of theirs? Or did you plan on getting this pup from a litter that a rescue had and after speaking with this person with the Chihuahua arrange for them to adopt the doxie pup instead and you'd take one of the pups they had for adoption?
I can't wrap my mind around it. Sorry for being a pain.

I think he meant that he a mini daschund for only a little while, not that he bred it, he bought it or something. Then someone else wanted the mini dasch, and rescuechihuahuaowner wanted the chihuahua so they traded. Am i right? or just bieng stupid?

My mom's friend was breeding the daschund. I was goingto get one, but then the guy (the chihuahua's owner) made a trade with us so now he gets the mini daschund in exchange for the chihuahua! Sorry 4 it bing so confusing!

do you have the permission of the breeder who was selling you the doxie to then trade it away? doesnt this concern the breeder since she hasnt even met this guy?

I'm glad you are both getting the pups you want. Since the person who's getting the Doxi pup is a friend of your mom's, it will be easy to keep in touch. Keep us posted on your new addition.

Forget I even said anything, I'm getting a dacshund again, my moms friend has a blonde one and ever since I saw Big Frank I ve wanted a blonde 1. I'm getting a new user name so ill say what dogs i own so yall no!
