cutest behavior...but isn't everything they do cute

ok, so amlet loves his bones and he tends to hide things. today right in front of us he dugs a "hole" in my comforter (really just a little cave in it) slid his bone in there, covered it up well and walked away. a few minutes later he went back and got it. it was so cute because it was just like he was digging a whole in the ground. i've had dogs but never honestly seen this behavior, i thought it was just something on tv or something! he is becoming more and more intelligent i've noticed and when i saw him do this i was realizing how clever he can be. i swear, when you have a puppy the smallest things amaze and amuse you. anyone else have any amusing puppy stories like this?

A-w-w-w...that IS cute! Yes, dogs never cease to entertain me with their funny, cute behaviors. I can't think right now....caffein deficiency....gotta have one more cup of coffee. Loved your story how he saved his bone for later. LOL.

That IS a clever little guy! Wonder what he will think up next?
So far the only thing Zada and Azrael do is hide sticks behind the shed. The wind blows small twigs off the trees and I'm contunally taking the sticks away from them. As I wait for them to potty before we play, they usually spot just the twig they want while they are going potty, then jump right up and get it and run as fast as they can behind the shed, drop it and come running out before I even get there. I'm always cleaning their stash out.

Gypsy is so funny. When ever she greats someone she hasn't seen that day she will sort of lay down and try to roll over with her front half while trying to stay standing with her back half. It's like she is trying to twist herself into a pretzle! It is the funniest thing to see.

When we play catch outside, Winston is all about going to the ball and getting it, but hates the idea of giving it up. So if I call him with "Come!", he'll grab the ball, bring it halfway, drop it, and then run back to me so I throw the next ball. Gradually he makes a little pile of balls ten feet away from me, and I have to sneak in and grab them while he's chasing the last throw.

while i'm lying in bed i sometimes hide under the comforter... sammi comes over and starts biting the comforter while moving backwards... once she has pulled the comforter away and spots my face.. she'll pounce! she's so smart!

she also likes to "bury" her nylabones underneath the comforter... one time
i found a nylabone in my tshirt that was on the floor!

she's so cute it hurts...

When we take toby out he LOVES sticks. However, he doesnt want little sticks, he get ones that are huge! They are like, 4 or 5 feet and he trys to carry them around the park, but they are too big for him! He will then look back to make sure I am still there and the stick will get caught on the ground and occasionally it will make him roll over! I find it so funny htat he is so proud, carring around this huge stick!!

Calibur -

My (now my dad's) GSD used to do this very thing, and actually still does! Over the summer we went to the beach with Kali (the GSD) and she pulled this HUGE log out of the ocean! She carried it around for ages all proud and excited. I love it!

Isn't it cute? They are just so proud of it too! I even have tried to exchange the stick for a smaller one but no.... that just wont do! It is especially cute because toby is still a baby, so the stick is SO big compared to him!

I would have loved to see her carrying that huge log out of the ocean! That would just have been so cute!!
