Ticklish?

This is going to be a strange question...but is it possible that a dog could be ticklish??
Actually, my 4 month old pup doesn't laugh at all. She did NOT want me touching her paws. She would try to bite. It was really weird. I think I overdid the "I-am-going-to-win-this", but I could not understand why she wouldn't let me (or anybody else) simply look at her paw pads.

My own opinion is that dogs can be ticklish. One of my pups who now lives with GP member OhMickey is a very ticklish boy, he doesn't laugh like a human would but if you get his sides or a certain spot underneath he'll chatter and make noise in different pitches almost like playing a musical instrument. lol

i think dogs can be ticklish...none of mine have ever made noises though. usually there is a spot around their belly...we call it their 'itchy spot' and if you rub it their back legs twitches. maybe it is just reflexes but I dont know...

Boomer's paws are quite ticklish too. I'm a mean mom, sometims while he's sleeping on me I can't help but gently rub his back paw. If I do it just the right way he'll give me a good back kick. hehe! What a horse!

What exactly causes a dog to start kicking their legs when you scratch a certain part of them? Gizmo has an area near his brown patch that if I start lightly scratching there, the leg starts kicking like crazy.

I call it the "sweet spot" lmao. But does it bug them? I've always wondered that.

I got so worried on a woodland walk in early spring when Alph was young. He started licking his paws, whining and refused to move. He was distressed and I was really worried. My boyf pointed out it was the tiny baby stinging nettles that were starting to come up. Poor Alph. My boyf also laughed and told me I was in for in interesting evening he was right. Anything Alph could do to relieve the itching - including a nice disco dance on my front door mat. It had passed by the morning but I know when to avoid that walk now! He has the fattest chunkiest pads - looks like he's walking on air cushions. Love 'em.

Over the past zillion years I've been quite aware that dogs ARE ticklish. (most anyway) and some more than others and in different areas. Wouldn't it be just too funny if they would at least smile.

Yes, Sonja, Mickey is tickleish. I know when we touch his tummy or any where on his legs he will make a noise and it is kinda funny sounding. He is a trip. Now it all makes sense.
