Visit from a recent foster puppy
One of our foster puppies, Milo, from a few weeks ago came back for a visit this week. His parents had to go to California and he is too young to board so we volunteered to petsit. I just thought I'd share pictures because he is so cute in his new red harness. When he first got here, our dogs remembered him right away and Chili went to get Milo's favorite toy so they could play tug of war.
Chili was super scared of hurting him at first since he's small, but Milo doesn't let anyone get away with treating him like a baby- he thinks he's a big dog! At three months, he's only 12 pounds though ![]() The best part is that Pepper is really interacting with Milo and wrestling as well. She is usually very shy, even around dogs she knows ('cept Chili), so we are thrilled to see her be so outgoing and welcoming. This is one of the side benefits of fostering that we were sort of hoping for. We're excited that she is having fun! ![]() |

He really is adorable. And what a nice dog Chili is to play so nicely with him and offer up a game of tug. Too cute. I'm glad you're getting to enjoy him for a while. That's neat!

Thanks for the nice responses!
Milo is a boxer mix. We really don't have much more to go on than that. Some of his littermates had a great deal of border collie in them. You can see pictures of Milo and three of his brothers here. We believe that there may have been more than one father involved (yeah, I didn't even know that was possible before I met these guys) He is pretty small for a boxer though, so who really knows what else is in him ??? He sure ended up with a good mix, though. I'm such a sucker for big ears ![]() Chili and Pepper were very good hosts, I couldn't be happier with them. ![]() calgal- heehee it's funny you noticed that. yes, the rug is rolled up, the plants are up on the table, the speakers are placed on the TV... hmm, looks like I have survived this week with no destruction-wow! Not that the little guy has any unsupervised time, but I learned the hard way that puppies only need about 1/10 of a second to cause trouble, so I don't take any chances now! |
