Hello everyone I'm the proud mom of a 4 1/2 month old bull boxer female named Diamond. She is doing ok with potty training but after repeated atemts to brake her from nipping in the face she still does. Does anyone have any advice on this any and all advice would be welcomed. She is a wonderful baby.I love her dearly she stole my heart from the frist time I laid eyes on her she is fawn and white.Diamond has her own little personality that fits into the family well all but her need to nip a chin noise,or check when she gets excided or she wants to play.
Thanks for giving me a chance to post here and I said any and all advice will be welcomed. Hotrod and Diamond |

I'd ignore her when she starts acting like that. Don't give eye contact, don't touch her. Just walk away and ignore her. Only when she calms down, should you give her attention again. Hopefully, if you're consistant she'll learn that if she's calm, she'll get as much attention as she can handle, but if she's over the top and nipping, she gets ignored.
Are you taking her to puppy classes? Got her enrolled in obedience? That should help quite a bit too. Cass. |

Boxers do like to play! Be ready to end play session abruptly, leave the room with the toy, and close the door if she starts biting faces. Return after a few minutes, do some obedience work and then resume play. Repeat as necessary. Is there a certain game or type of play that seems to cause her to bite at faces? If so, find another, less stimulating game to play. Try to watch her more carefully during play and stop the playtime before she gets too wound up. Is she more apt to do this at certain times of the day or under certain circumstances?

right before bed time at night she wants a noise or check. other times are when she is playing with my six year old son who is all boy. he wants to sit in the floor and play fetch with her or play with her pull rope. when daddy comes home from work is her bad time about the biting in the face. i can't for the life of me figure out why.
