Exclamation Sieshers????

My Toy Poodle has sieshers once in a while. It is very scary when it happens. The doctor gave him medicine to help with it but he still has them. Is there anything that I can do to help him not have sieshers as often??? He doesn't have them that often now, but I'm afraid that he might die if it is bad enough. He is going to be 12 years old and he is not as strong as he used to be, so I thought if he wasn't strong enough to stand up to the siesher he could die. I hope that he doesn't, but it is just a concern of mine. I know I sound crazy but I don't want him to get hurt. If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE tell me. It would be greatly appriciated.

You mean Seizures

When was the last time he went to the vet for it? Only your vet can help you control his seizures!

Seizures mean a visit to the vet. Leaving them uncontrolled, in my opinion, would be cruel to you and your pet.

Since there are so many possible causes for the seizures, from genetics to diet / environment, this is something that must be diagnosed by a professional in person.

Did you take your dog to the vet?

I agree with Julie and Melanie, you need to take your dog in to the vet especially since he has a heart murmur and is a senior dog.

Like Julie said treatment can be anything from diet changes to medication to surgery...you really need your dog looked at and possibly get tests run to rule out diabetes, brain tumors and other major health conditions.
