Sporting Group Dogs in the Sporting Group were developed to work closely with people hunting birds. These dogs like to be around people and are active and alert.

Hey Novel
Novel you will be pleased to know what breed made the cover of Gun Dog Magazine????? No other the Weimaraner!!!! Very nice article as well in their.

When I seen it was hoping it would of been a GSP LOL. So then I said ok I will share who it was with some of my Weim friends I know LOL. I still have not seen this guy who comes out at the park with his dog blue to tell him. But he might beat me to it if he see's me first lol to rub it in a little LOL.

I seen that too.. A gorgeous Weim I may add. I didn't get that issue tho. Instead of getting that, I got Dog Fancy, they have a gorgeous Dobie on the front of theirs for July and the June issue had an artical on Weims " A Vibrant Shade Of Gray " and was also on the front cover.. I even got a free poster with 2 GORGEOUS weims on it.. The front cover Weim was CH. Orion's Liberty Von Reiteraim.. They also had PUPPY pictures- SOOOOO cute !!!

Dunno Novel but I just pick my mags. up at the Grocery store when on lunch.. They only carry Gun Dog and Dog Fancy so I end up buying every monthy issue of each... I'll be picking up Gun Dog mag. next week for some reading during lunch. I don't bother with Teen or People Mag.- to much gossip for me lol- I think my co-workers find me a bit odd b/c of that fact too LOL.

Well I found it at Gander Mountain, Walmart didn't have it...
I also picked up a copy of Pointing Dog Journal, had a drathar(sp?) on the cover. They are such neat dogs, remind me of the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.
I am waiting to read them until tomorrow, when I have time after the show. Thank you so much GSP for the heads up, or I would have probably missed it. Maybe I need to get a subscription to these magazines, so I wouldn't have to search all over for them...

It's a great article Weimgirl... I recommend picking up the magazine.

It interviewed some of the top people in field Weims... and gave some very good advice on breed characterisitics and training!
