Congrats, your a new Labby owner now.. I seen your thread on the Labrador Forums , glad you found your guy. He's adorable. Actually labs don't shed all year. Sure some hair comes out all year, but its top coat and not really all that much at all. In my expr. Labs really blow their coat only 2 to 3 times a year. During that time, Tribal, its bad but you get use to it ; you won't even notice how much they shed because it gets "normal" after a while lol. Can't wait for more pictures, he's a handsome little fella for sure. Good luck with the future training ; can't wait to hear his adv. stories .

Thanks!
We have actually done a little name switch as Doc just did not seemt o be fitting him.
My husband called him Goose and believe it or not the dog came running.
he has been goose for about 24 hours now and come faithfully every time he hears "Goose Come" from any where in the house or the yard.
We have also had 0 accidents int he house int he past 48 hours. He barks no matter the time of day or night when he has to "go".
He and Paige (our 16 weeks old Rattie) have become fast friends. their temperaments are very similar. The spend most of the day together. When he is not playing with Paige he is playing with Charlie (the resident old man rescue mutt).

Sounds like he's fitting in really well. Thats one of the things I love about labs, potty training is easy , hehe ! Goose is a cute name, he looks loose as a goose in that last picture there too lol. Have you thought of a reg. name yet ? His temperament sounds really nice and he looks like a really sweet little guy. He should make for a wonderful SAR dog .

How did I miss this???? OMG!! Goose is adorable!! I know you and the hubby have been doing so much research on different breeds, and I'm glad this adorable puppy found you!

I think you'll have fun with SAR....I'll have to PM you with some experiences I had and where I was told to get training aids....lol

Congrats on the new addition, and need I express how much we all like pictures? Or how you need to post more?
