Tips for show?

Do you all have any tips for the show I am entered in for the Mid-Kentucky Kennel Club? I need tips I have been to 2 handling classes and I need some more tips to help me win this show too, even though I dought I will win.

Have fun. Let your dog have fun. Don't go in to win your first time, just go in and play with your dog. Treat it like a training session - standing, gaiting, etc. Teach your dog to "catch". Having a dog stacked then telling them to catch the bait just beautifully brings them to attention. It is lovely. Good luck.

I agree. Most of the dogs that i see winning not only look good but good handlers make it a game. One of the things that i see in the weim ring that's impressive is when the dog walks into it's stance without any sacking by the handler. Also a good rule of thumb, if it impresses you it's probably going to impress the judge.

Thanks Well Novel or any weimaraner people... do you all know Connie Morris? She is the presdient of the weimaraner club of Louisville. She gives me some lessons and tips for free. Her weimaraner is Bruder he is Championed and he is awesome too, like topper! LOL Well I got to go! LOL

What is Bruder's registered name?? Like Topper's is Ch. Silhouette's Solid Gold CGC CD RN.

I sent it to onofrio. I got 2nd place! Can you believe it! There were only 2 other Jr. handlers there and they had little dogs that are easy to mess with LOL One had a pug and one had a collie! LOL Well I guess I got to go!
