Sporting Group Dogs in the Sporting Group were developed to work closely with people hunting birds. These dogs like to be around people and are active and alert.

Soma advice, take it or leave it.... where a color that does not blend in with Belle, so no natural earth tones. Black is good, blue, white, but not tan, gray, or many lt greens and browns.

It looks like you did a very nice job, and I like the pictures! I agree with Novel...you need to wear something that doesn't blend in with your dog. I had to learn this lesson the hard way too

I think you did awesome! And so did Belle. It's only natural that she'd be a bit nervous with her first show. I'm sure the more you do it, the better she'll get each time. She will get used to it.

Novel and the others make a good point about the colour of your outfit too. You don't want to blend with the dog, you need that contrast.

However, great job, and I hope to see more pics after your next show. Best of luck to you and Belle in future shows!

YAY PIctures !! I've been waiting for these too.. Looks like you two did great ! I was supposed to be at a show yesterday and today BUT I was to late with turning in the fees. I turned in my fees for the next show(which is the 30th and 1st) but Beaus breeder and I really don't feel Beau is ready and we may skip these two as well and keep working with him. I'm really bummed out but I don't want to overwhelm him or I and Beaus breeder feels the same. Keep up the good work and don't worry, she'll get better once she gets use to the whole showing idea.

You will do wonderful next time as well! Practice lots with Belle stacking her and have other people examine her like the judge would. That will help her get over her shyness.

Were is the show the 30-1st? There is one in TN i think that is on that day? Im not sure... Well thank you all and I will be shopping for one thats black or something....
