Sporting Group Dogs in the Sporting Group were developed to work closely with people hunting birds. These dogs like to be around people and are active and alert.

Which is exactly why I don't have a GSD... I can never remember how to spell the "S". LOL!!!

Also, not only should you be able to spell your breed of choice, but being able to say it correctly is also pretty important, although probably even more difficult!

Yesterday, Tate and I went to Lakeport to see Roxie. She's just over 8 weeks old and ready to come home. Unfortunately, due to our upcoming houseboat trip, we can't bring her home just yet. We haven't seen Roxie since she was 19 days old and my has she grown! She is a big girl and is probably going to grow up to big too. I was hoping for a smaller dog, but oh well.

We spent a couple hours playing with Roxie and all the other puppies. Here are a couple of pictures. You can see the rest at www.reneeandtate.com/blog.html

I can't remember how tall Rayn is either... but most likely she will be about as tall as mom... females tend to follow suit of their mothers and the boys grow to be about the same height as their fathers.... usually.

Oh my gosh, she is so CUTE! I have a baaaaaaaaaaaad case of puppy fever and can't *wait* until I find my own puppy to add to my family!! Currently, I have just 2 Weimaraners (I lost my male, Chevy, almost 2 years ago now). Brindy is 6 1/2, and Akina just turned 5 on June 9. (WOW time flies!!) And how lucky are you to get a "mostly 3's" puppy. What I wouldn't give for one of those!!

Something a little fun: I have a cat named Rayn (yes, spelled the same way, even) that is blue.
