HELP - Long haired blue Weimaraner ? - Page 2

The Longhaired Weim's in the UK look just like the normal type that you would see. I wd. be worried abuot them looking like Lab's also what is a blue weim. Definitely don't think they'd be accepted in the UK as the Weim should be Silver??

I'm not that keen on the longhaired's myself.

A blue weim is like the one Laney in my signature. It is a gun blue coloring. Again, not rare, and not accepted by any country as far as I know. The US originally imported them from Germany, I believe in the 50's. They were shown in the US until the 70's and then disqualified.

I'd forget about getting a 'blue' long haired weim if I were you. You'll probably find the only people breeding them are backyard breeders, not people you want to deal with.

Yes blue is a gorgeous colour, yes the long haired coat is lovely but together they're gold for disreputable breeders and no one else (to my knowledge at least).

If you want a long haired blue dog look to a different breed. Or at least look at Weim rescue.
