Love 'em

I've become bias over the last five or so years. I love the look of the dogs in this group. I own two and a half retrievers. Half because one of my dogs is only part lab. These dogs make great pets, and they love, love, love to be with their people. All of my dogs are big babies.

One of my guys is a Yellow Lab. I think he thinks he's a human.

We stayed with my aunt and uncle for just short of a week back in May. They have two dogs- Amber's a Lab/Shepherd/Something mix, and Chowder is a Yellow Lab. Both were adopted from the ASPCA. Chowder was a little nervous around new people, but once he warmed up to you, he was the sweetest dog EVER! Ugh, I wanted to take him home with me!

We took them to the dog park one day, and just across from the dog park is the bay, so we open the dog park's gate and both dogs break for the water.

They swam for awhile, then my aunt lets them get in the car, still soaking wet. Chowder sat against my leg the whole way home (awwww! My pant leg's soaked! LOL).

Such great dogs!!

My favorite group also. I really like all dogs but find i enjoy the sporting and wokring groups fit my taste most. Particularly the sporting.

I love 'em too. I have a Chocolate Lab, Bonnie who we always called Wigglebutt because her whole back end from her waist back wags when she wags. LOL. That tail knocks everything off the coffee table and my geraniums off their stems. They are just such happy go lucky, sweet dogs. Love em! But I love lots of breeds and that's why I ended up with four dogs! I love my Chihuahuas and my Doberman. Those working/protection dogs are a lot of fun....so very alert and ready, trotting around the perimeter of my property when he hears the slightest noise, making sure all is on the up and up. And right along his side is little Jose doing his part. LOL. And those Chihuahuas are such velcro dogs too, like my Dobe. They are happy just if they can sit on your lap. They can be very, very playful and silly and the minute I sit down and want to rest on the couch or whatever, they adapt to that too. They just match whatever mood I'm in and will conform. Such good little companions. They're all a lot of fun.

I love labs too. My puppy Max is a lab mix and he is so lovable. But then so are my chihuahua and my poodle!

i COULDNT AGREE WITH YOU MORE!!! I have one black lab and one yellow lab and there both great dogs and yer they are people dogs!

There my baby Boys!!!Lol

I have a Lab/Golden mix, but he acts more like a lab. You just have to love how people-ey they are. Simon just loves being around people, its second to only food!

I agree, Labs are great Pets!. My dog is either 1/2 or closer to a purebred.
They always seem to have a smile on their face and wouldn't hurt you if they were given what they like secound best (treats).
They love people! #1

Big Sporting Dog Lover Here!!! They may be more active than other breeds, but they're worth it!
