I show my male Weimaraner. Topper is "Silhouette's Solid Gold" and as of today has 14 points towards his Championship. We just need that final major! I have handled him from day one and we've been showing since the end of January '05.

Congrats on your wins so far! Hopefully you won't have to chase that major for long.

I don't show sporting but do show in non-sporting. Good luck to you and Topper!

I fell in love with a bulldog this past weekend at a show. That's where we picked up our 5 point major, Fargo, ND. Let's see, an open bitch that took a major that day also... JJ's Thistle, bred by Jeri J Bloomquist of Ashland, WI. Ever heard of her or the kennel?

I don't know her personally but have seen the bitch she bred "Mimi" at several shows in her day. I believe Mimi took 1st in the veterans class at the Divison VI specialty this past September.

Thistle was out of CH Millcoats Dutch - Dickey's Bonnie Girl

She was just so lovable! I was sitting ring side watching my judge and waiting to go get Topper, and here comes Thistle, who I'd never met, up into my lap! And she felt so wonderful, she was like cuddling a Teddy Bear.

I have a Boxer and think they are absolutely adorable, but she is our pet, my husband and I agreed on the Weims because they fit both of us, he doesn't care for the Boxer - she makes too much noise, LOL!

Dutch is a handsome boy Can't remember if he's directly out of Titus or Gianni. Thistle sounds like a lovely girl! The Boxer is also a wonderful breed!

The Weim has always been a breed of interest to me, a good friend of mine had a wonderful boy...... Jar-Em Stars Collide V Riju. That boy could do just about anything, titles in CD, NA, NAJ, and CGC. She lost him this year to a vet who should have their license pulled. He was four years old.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's loss. Too many of our great dogs are lost to ineptitude.

Topper almost has his Bench Championship, he'll be 2 in September. We started showing when he was 16 months old and it was my first time in the show ring. We had so much fun I knew that I'd never go back. I have since left my job, I managed a pet resort, to pursue my puppies full time.

His breeder is thinking Obedience next or a Canadian Championship. I think we'll get his JH first.

I'll post a pic of him as soon as I can figure it out!

There will be 100+ Weims in Troy. I'll try and look you up!

I'd love to finish him up at this big show, but I'm not too concerned. There's another speciatly coming up in Waukesha, WI that would be just fine too. He's only 21 months, and we're not in any big hurry.

I'll look up the bulldogs and try and come watch in Troy. I'll be the one with the Weim!
