Labs doing Agility?

I have a 6 month old black lab puppy and at puppy school the trainer has us use all the agility equitment and my puppy absolutely loves it! He just bolts right though the whole agility course really fast. I'm thinking about putting him in a agility class soon, But do labs do agility? I mean I used to think it was just for Border Collies, but now I'm thinking otherwise.

any dog that wants to have fun and has drive to do it can do it. Border collies and such seem to rule because of their speed and higher than your average pets drive. If you like it, and your dog likes it, do it. You may not win a national competition, but who cares. You dog won't. He just wants to run the course and get a ball or treat at the end with some well deserved praise.

Any dog can do agility. It isn't strictly for certain breeds - I have a borde collie and she's seriously not that interested in agility, she likes it OK but not enough that she goes bonkers about it.

I have a 1 1/2 year old cocker spaniel who loves agility. There is also a black lab in Emma's class. He is doing great at agility. Good luck I know Emma and I love agility. I don't real care if she wins any ribbons it's more just for fun for us.

My english bulldog is getting ready to start intermediate agility. Don't think she will be a champ but she loves running through the course.

Any dog can do agility. Out of the labs the Field type labs do much better than the show labs since a Field lab is build more for agility and speed.
