Dog Art

I'm a budding artist and wondered if anyone had thought of adding a section for Dog Art, done by members of course? Drawings, paintings, sculpture, digital art could all be included. Perhaps the section could also include poetry and stories, so that all areas of art are covered?

I think it's an awesome idea! As long as it was with the understanding that it was not a place to sell member art work or gave links to other sites on the web. ( We have an area for that )

Crossfire Bulldogs - Yeah, I agree. No selling of art (there are plenty of sites devoted to this) or links to other sites. Just a place to show off any art we have created relating to dogs.

Quincy - That would be great. Would that accomodate poems and stories if anyone wanted to add any?

Pugdawg - It'd be fantastic to see what people come up with. Dogs are one of the most incredible subjects.

I'm so glad you guys like the idea.

(Apologies for the late response, I was away for 2 weeks - xmas ). Anyhoo... fair enough, it'll be interesting so see the creative side of members here.

I always love looking at artistic talent of people. I would love to see it happen. And as you say Sonja as long as its not with the idea of making profit. After all artist are supposed to starve till they die lol then become famous.

I guess i will have to take a step back and just admire everyone elses work. If I submitted something I would have to lie through my teeth and say I'm influenced by picasso or heavly into abstract art, I couldn't draw a picture to save my life.

Hehehehehe! Whenever I draw something that doesn't quite work out or is (more likely ) complete crap, I always use the excuse "Oh, well... it's abstract, you see. It's suppose to look like that!". Either that or "It's art, you wouldn't understand."

Perhaps you could write something? Although I'm sure no one would mind you just looking. I know I wouldn't.
