I like this idea! It's a fun little thing to participate in. Personally I'd rather see a weekly poll as opposed to a monthly pole (keeps things moving)

but if attracting more members is also a goal, maybe adding one somewhat related to the most popular posts of that week,
Not every time, but from time to time, especially on threads that get a lot of responses

for example
the thread on electronic and prong collars....its interesting, but its also long...
add a poll thats a quick answer of "do you use or not?"

Since i am fairly new, i can say it can be intimidating to join in long conversations at first.

EXCELLENT idea. Kind of a reader interest poll. Some of those debate threads get so long and so off topic that even if someone has something worth while to say it gets shut out or ignored, or.. never posted.

the problem with a website poll, is that many and prolly most ppl link directly to the forums and never even see the homepage. Which is why i think we should just do the forum poll.

Most other forums allow users to make their own polls.

Like someone said before, can't remember who lol, but would we be able to have the poll on the front page e.g. forum index or some sort of link to the current poll being asked in the poll forum, if we had one that is.
