Global Paw Yearbook

After reading through the new threads in the general Global Paw Discussion Forum, I was thinking it might be fun to put out a yearbook. Kind of like a highschool annual.

We could have a faculty section for staff. Quincy could be the founder, Lee could be the principal. Seniors better be based on time with the paw, and not age!

He-He-He-!

Freshman, sophmores, juniors, seniors. Dog and owner annual portraits. "Heap of the Week" auto section. Activities with various shelters, dog clubs, who's pursuing a further education to help dogs and owners, ect...

This could be a fun idea, which could grow each year. This is a wonderful community, and I know I would treasure the memories of those I've known here.

I think it's an ok idea but their is bound to be someone who feels "left out". That would be my only problem with something like that.

No being, or feeling "left out" allowed! I was a shadow-hugging-critter-nerd, in school. I would have been a bit "eco-goth", if it had been "in" back then. Good thing my parents finally got me a horse!

Ah well, I was too young to be a hippie, and too old to be a punker.

If it's something the administration wishes to do. www.lulu.com is a great place to create and publish books

You know we could just make it online, make yet another area, and have it split into sections, photos by class, i.e. time joined, activities (cars, scrapbooking, etc) dog breeds, etc.

You could post or put a pic in each appropriate section, that would include everyone, and constantly be growing.

This is just a off the top of my head thing and needs refinement, but hopefully you all get the basic premise.

I love the idea, either way, but I guess I have to be a freshman again, that I'm not looking forward to!

Heres my only problem with this, since it would indeed have to be "ever changing" where do we find the manpower to keep it up to date?

Hm... Well, if we based the classes on years or time here, that would be the only section that would truly have to change, and instead of the class of '03 it would be more like 3+ years here, 2-3 years here, 1-2, less than 1 for the classes. People could graduate to the next class on their anniversary, and then all the Seniors would be continous, sorry no graduating you all!

So the Forum would look something like this.

Seniors
Juniors
Sophmores
Freshman
^all these Areas would include a specific thread for each person, with maybe a bio, a pic of them, their dogs, etc. Each thread could then be moved to the appropriate area upon advancement.
If we wanted to include the other areas, to be more like a school year book, then we'd have a Staff area.
We could do the Contest Winners in an area, etc. But the most important thing would be to keep a thread for each person specifically, and then be able to move that thread when necessary.

Yes, just something fun! We could even call it something like the Global Paw Isle. I know, I have a very bizzy little brain sometimes!

Let's just kick around some ideas, and see where it ends up!

My initial idea, could turn into something completely different, but just as fun!

Actually a "Who's Who at Global Paw" would be a good idea. Especially for new members who aren't really sure who everyone is.
Not sure how it would work though. A thread would be exhausting to read through, I'm not sure many would bother.
The year book is a nice idea though, whether it would work or not.
