It's a little hard to tell with those pictures...how old is he? How big is he? What's his coat like? Maybe Shepherd, BC, Lab mix, Heinz 57 maybe - something with a leaner build and longer nose than an AmStaff. (Labs are not *supposed* to have a long nose or lean frame, but we all know how overbred and poorly bred Labs are, so it's quite possible)

Of course, that's possible with Pits, too (I myself have a foster that's tall, rangy, and slender), so it's hard to tell, without knowing anything of his history. Do you know anything about his parents? Littermates?

Could you take a photo of him standing up from the side, and then from the front?

It's too hard to tell with those photos. I think flutterby asked the right questions as far as age, weight, and coat type.

He looks like he's got some sort of other terrier in him. I really don't see the lab.

Are you referring to an American Staffordshire Terrier, or a Staffordshire Bull Terrier?
