The Thought's of a fighting pitbull

I found this poem on a website and thought I should post it.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.

I have to give credit where it's due. The poem is by William Ernest Henley (1849-1903) and not really about pit bulls. Read the last stanza which was left off of the version Icey has.

Out of the night that covers me,

o0o Sorry! I found it on a pitbull website and they didn't give credit to anybody, so I thouhgt it was written by them. But thanks for sharing that...
