high rise terrier

I live in a 5th floor flat in South Korea. We want a puppy and will take him out for long walks. We want something fairly small and I would prefer one that isn't going to attack the washing everytime I take it out of the machine. Would a terrier suit us? I've heard they're high energy.

I have a Jack Russell Terrier cross Maltese Terrier and he was EXTREMELY hyper as a puppy. He still has bounds of energy, even though he is now 10 years old! I wouldn't recommend a Jack Russell Terrier for an apartment. I had a friend who had a Maltese, and she lived in an appartment, and the dog coped really well though.

I have Rat Terriers and while they have enough energy to keep up with our kids they have FAR less then a Jack Russell and providing oyu take them out for a couple of walks a day would be great in an apartment. I actually have a few friends with Rat Terriers who live in apartments and have no issues.
