I dont think they are actually an AKC sanctioned breed. So they technically wouldnt be in any of them. The AMSTAF and StafBull are both in the terrier group...but actual real Pit Bulls are not AKC registerable...

If you have an AMSTAF or a Bull but just call it a Pit like many people do then shed be here, but if you have a true Pit (AMSTAF/ Bull crosses) then she doesnt really fit by AKC regulations but but my standards would be here in the terrier...Most people call both those breeds Pits when in reality they are not..

I dont know if any groups do, check out their websites....
im sure some day Pits will be registerable...once someone perfects the breed and sets standards and all that lovley jazz....

it would help a LOT if some bad owners didnt ruin it for those of you who are good responsable onwer...there are a lot of stigmas and bad stories abuot Pits attacking people....if we could get beyond this then they would be registerable much sooner.
Course there are also way too many lies about dogs, if a breed cant be determined and there is a hint of Pit in them then that dog gets agressive it automaticly gets lables a Pit...when it may not have ANY pit in him.....stereotypes need to be destroyed for them to be registerable.

your dog will help that. any well trained Pits will help that a lot...the public needs to see Pits are not dangerious dogs, that its the stupid owners.

haha someone once told me (on another forum) that if a dog lays in the "frog" position (flat on their stomachs with legs on the side...thats a bad description...but I hope it made sense....that its got Pit in them....I guess in one part of Aultstralia if your dog lays like that its automaticly a Pit....well my Sammy ans My Min Pins both lay like that and they have NO Pit in them (all are pure breed and can be registered but arnt).

assumptions and stereotypes like this are what keeps Pits having their bad name....they dont deserve it...yes some are agressive, mostly cuz of bad owners, the whole breed shoudlnt get a bad name for it.

Hahaha... then my pugs must actually be pits or pit mixes, since all three do that all the time. LOL

its a sign of good hips being able to lay like that.....my parents husky mix has horrible hip displa...I cant spell...he trys so hard to lay like that but then rolls over cuz it hurts...he used to all the time as a puppy....it has nothing to do with being a Put or a Pit cross, its hip ability..but people dont know..or care...or something...

the uck recognises it is a breed but you cannot reg pit bulls as they are illegal in this country under the dda, which states they cannot be bred, this in turn, means at this time in theroy there are no pit bulls in england....(only of course that isnt the case)
