Cute Puppy
|
We were given this dog about 5 yrs ago and he is now 12 yrs old. We were told by the previous owner that he was a toy pomeranian. But this man told us that he was just a regular pom. Does anyone know which?
He is smaller than our cat. And when he is wet you can tell he is very small. |

Always room for one more

I don't know that I've heard of such a thing...
How much does he weigh? And how long is he, nose to tail? Have you compared him to the Pomeranian breed standard? The cat size comparison doesn't help much, I'm afraid. My Yorkie is a pound over a standard Yorkie, and quite possibly a tad larger too. But she's still smaller than our cat. lol |

New Ridgeback Mom!

I think people enjoy the "toy" "teacup" terms! In the pom standard it says poms are 3-7lbs. So what would a TOY be? 1lb?! Give me a break...This is WOC junk...but we wont go there!
lol!! My pom is 8lbs...trust me she's not fat..kinda thin actually. |

i never had my pom as a puppy... so i dont have any personal experience with what is good for a pom as a pup.. yes i have read a lot about them, but without the personal experience i have no right to talk. maybe one of the other pom lovers on here could tell you if that is a healthy weight. ok.. ive gotta go.. Rocky is giving me evil looks on the floor like "mommy! come play with me not that pesky clacky key thing!" lol...

Yes, I hear people say that about all kinds of breeds. I've heard miniature Chihuahua. That's another one that is not classified by size like a Poodle is. They come in a variety of sizes from 2 - 6 Lbs. and Poms to 7 Lbs. But they are just plain Chihuahuas and just plain Poms. How dare a "breeder" tell someone that? |
