Carseat recommendations??

Missie's carseat is very old now, and uncomfortable for her because she can't lay down comfortably. http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...N=2032883&Ne=2 That's what she currently has. I don't use the neck loop around her neck (I find it extremely ineffective--like choking the dog in an accident will prevent them from being hurt?!), instead I slip the end through the back of her harness and buckle it. (Hope that makes sense)

She's about 8 pounds, and I want something that's soft for her to lay against, and has a fastener that imitates her harness, so she isn't choked in an accident by a ridiculous strap around her neck holding her in. She gets upset when crated, so that's not an option. Price... anything in the $50 range or less is fine.

Any suggestions?? Thanks muchly!

This is the one I used for Bailey and Lucy. http://www.mightypets.com/product.asp?3=2039 It's the "perch" carseat at the bottom of the page. I bought two and I buckle them in with the car seat belt so they can't move an inch if I get in an accident. A doggy seat belt attaches to the car seat belt.

It works great, the dogs can see out the window and lay down and it comes with a buckle for your dog's harness. We got the whole bench seat when we got Harley. It fits all the way across the back seat and I can buckle all three dogs in and they don't get tangled up. The half bench that fits in the front seat is 79.00 plus tax so it is expensive but it is well made and the dogs love it. The cover can be removed and washed. It is really light weight too.

I use an outward hound booster seat that I bought at Petsmart. I love this seat, and so does Chuwee. And it wasn't expensive at $20 dollars.
