Awww, Happy 7th Month Birthday, Niko!
I'm owned by two dogs with Maltese in them, haha. Panna's a 4-years-old apparently purebred Maltese (not that it matters to me, she's my perfect little rescue dog) and Cannelle's a 19-month-old Maltese X (the rescue said Maltese/Chihuahua, I'm thinking Maltese/Yorkie, but she's mostly Maltese). I absolutely LOVE the breed, they're just so sweet! |

He was a fabulous little dog...spirited, good with children and lived to be 17!!! I don't see many of them where I live.....this town has been taken over by Bichons!!! (and BYB mixes)Still, it's quite a sight when you see a well-bred Maltese with a full coat and a black button nose! Here's a pic of me as a kid with Nico: ![]() (*click on pic to enlarge) |

Innocence?? LMAO! don't let her fool you
![]() OF COURSE!!! lol She always finds a way to "drag" me into playing with her. She has become quite familiar with the 'puppy dog face' to get what she wants. She has been a really good girl tho, I think I got lucky with her.![]() |

hello,
guess what!?!?!?! After much searching and debating. I had originally wanted a Standard Poodle but figured it too much for my first high maintenace dog so I have set my heart on a Maltese. So I went down to my local flea market and bought the first one I saw (for only 175 dollars) . And then I saw poodle puppies and bought my maltese's future mate. get it...m a l t i p o o s hahaha im joking. I searched around for a few months and found a wonderful breeder in Tennessee. She shows her dogs and has them genetically tested prior to breeding. She will not ship her dogs and doesnt allow them to go home until they are a whopping 16 weeks old. So she is due in March and in July I will be taking a sixteen hour drive to get my first small breed and my first high maintenance dog. Yay...im so excited and anxious. Time flies by so stinkin slow..but its worth it. Anyhow....I deemed the name Squishy very appropriate. The breeder knows I own two pit bulls but I told her all about the work and socialization ive put in my dogs and she will be meeting them in July. I think she realizes that I will not spend SO much money on a well bred Maltese only to have her harmed. Just wanted to share! Thanks for reading! |
