I used bones once, and my min pin chewed it so hard, she got splinters in her gums. She had dental surgery, and the vet had to remove parts of her jaw to be able to get the splinters out. Be very careful, as I know they are supposed to be good, but you need to watch very carefully as well.

I wanted to share what I've been using with my Italian Greyhound foster. She is 2 years old and had 15 teeth pulled at her dental after coming to me. A few weeks after her extractions I started using disposable finger brushes on her. I buy them at PetSmart. They are disposable gloves with brush tips on the thumb and forefinger. It is a lot less bulky than regular fingerbrushes for the small mouth. And I don't use a new one everyday. That would be too expensive. I wash it out every night after using it for about a week or so. Then get a new one. So I use one a week I'd say.
