Question What is your favorite doggie shampoo & conditioner

Just wondering what everyone's favorite doggie shampoo and conditioner is. I read that dog shampoos can be too harsh for their skin.

Umm.. are you ok, Wee Mama?

Just a tip, if you want to add to your post, the best thing to do is click the 'edit' button at the bottom of your original post, instead of posting another reply straight after over and over (which can be considered spam).

Ok, onto the question...

The kind of dog shampoo I use is a tea tree based shampoo that we get from our vet. I'm not sure if it actually has a brand name or not, but next time I bath them I'll make sure to take note.

Human shampoo can be too harsh on a dog's skin, depending what brand or type it is. Some dog shampoos may also cause dry skin in particular dogs, so a special shampoo (for dogs) is needed for them - a natural shampoo with no colouring or fragrance.

Hmmm, I can't for the life of me remember who makes it (I just look for the bottle when I buy it...haha), but it's an oatmeal shampoo. The awesome thing is if you happen to accidently wash your own hair with it (which yes I have done...LOL), it leaves both dog and human hair silky smooth! HAHAHA

I love Biogroom oatmeal conditioner and efa HyLyt conditioner (my favorite). Shampoo I usually use tea tree oil based from a company my dad sells the products of or a special shampoo for dogs with allergies (the name escapes me. I'm not fond of it anyway. lol).

Is it Melaleuca? I've used it and my dogs do real well on it, as long as I use it sparingly... like every other time we bathe.

Yeah. We bathe so infrequently we haven't had any problems. Have you ever given their vitamins? I give Ollie (and Roxy now) one as a treat every so often. Missie won't eat them.

I did buy and use a bottle of vitamins with them, but then went back to Solid Gold's mineral supplement. To me it seemed to have a better value for the price.

I use Melaleuca shampoo and conditioner for myself, and use only Melaleuca cleaners and laundry detergent for the dogs. The fewer chemicals and nitrates in our lives the better, I figure.

I can use any kind of shampoo on Delsi, my Chihuahua, but with my two Yorkies, Zada and Azrael, I have to be very careful with what I use on them or they matt like crazy. I like useing either #1All Systems shampoo or Dr. Bronners pure liquid castile soap. I always give them a hot oil treatment after each bath to keep the coat soft and easily brushed without matting.

I am now hooked on the shampoo we use at work.

Bark 2 Basics - all natural shampoo that can be used on puppies and dogs of all ages. It's a 16:1 concentrate (every 1 oz of shampoo dilutes to 16 oz of water), so 1 gallon lasts forever. They have all different types, and conditioners too.

That's my favorite

I have also used "Mane and Tail" and like it as well!
