Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie) Breeders in Texas?

Hi I'm interested in purchasing a fully registerable yorkshire terrier puppy in Texas. I want to make sure I do all the research needed before hand and completely understand the breed. I also want to know that the breeder I'm purchasing from is a legitimate breeder that cares about their pups and is not simply a puppy mill. If anyone has any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it I know all of you here are out for the animals best interest so i know I can trust you all... HUGS and thanks everyone

On the first 2 they are a bunch of listings. Whatch who you buy from. I dont know anything about the 3rd one.. Do they look like BYB's to you? Flyndog has the Yorkies.. You should talk to her about it

Good for you, for taking the time to research your breed of choice.
Not being in America, I can't point you in the direction of any breeders but I did find these sites that might be of interest.

Yorkie Rescue - Just 'cause it's good to know.

The Yorkie List - A forum just like this one but strictly for yorkies.
FAQ on buying a yorkie - I found this at the same site that had the forum, looked like it could be useful so I added it.

Yorkshire terrier club of America - You've probably already been there, but just in case you haven't...here it is.

Something else you may want to try for a list of reputable breeders in your area is the Yorkshire Terrier Club Of America and write for a list which their always happy to provide.

Make sure you purchase from a breeder who does all necessary tests, scans possible buyers, etc..

PM sent. BTW, pups are tested and health is guaranteed for 24 months...except luxating patella, which is something that is out of the breeder's control when the pup is with the owner. The Texas YTCA is in Houston.
