pomeranian tails

this is just a very basic question. my dog is half pom, half rat terrier. because he's a mutt, his tail was never docked or anything, and he's got this curly tail. it looks just a little pig tail. i'm just wondering if this is the pom in him, or the rat terrier. does anyone know?

Poms have the fan tails that curl up over the backs. I'm not familiar with Rat Terriers' tails and whether they are traditionally docked -- Poms never are.

I would say it comes from the Pom.

thanks, i kinda knew it was the pom, it goes back over his back and curls. it's soooo cute!! i'm so glad he was never docked. it adds so much personality to him. from behind he used to look like a baby piglet!
