New Playmates for the Pugs

Up here.. pugs are few and far between.. Not many people - small town, so few pugs - so imagine my surprise last night - drove the pugs to the other side of town for an evening walk when out from their house comes a man and woman with two pugs! Male and female, fawn, 2 years and 1 1/2 years. My pugs never get to meet other pugs... only other pug Winston has met was when he was reunited with his mamma a year or so ago. My boys were so shy... those other two though, very outgoing. I am supposed to call them and set up a nice time for a pug party. Woohoo. For a pug owner without many pugs around, this is a good good good thing.

Oh well, I'll stop rambling.

Marnie.....I know the feeling...we met another couple who have a Boxer out at our campground! The dogs have an absolute ball playing together! Plus they look like they could be littermates! hehe!

Well I took the boys over to their house last night for a little pug party... It was fun. My boys were very shy at first, they didn't understand what was going on, but after awhile, they loosened up and started to explore and not be so shy. They were reserved, but I think that will change. Towards the end the couple's two pugs would run and snort and bark in the yard and Winston would run out, but as soon as the two pugs would run to him to play he'd hustle back to me. He wanted to play but was just not sure of himself. But he was getting braver! He is not used to being around little dogs with as much energy as he has LOL We are going to do this once a week at least. It was so nice to sit and watch all the pugs. I guess there will be someone else coming by too with a pug of their own on occasion. I am sure after bringing them over a couple of times they will get their sea legs and look forward to it. I LOVED their pugs.. sweet, ornrey and fiesty all rolled into one LOL

Oh i will! I had brought the digital but got so busy chatting with the people.. I never took the pictures. Also, with my boys so shy.. no real great photo opportunities. Next week, I'll make it a point to get some pictures

So now Daniel/Bentley will be able to join in on the playdates....or are you going to give him some time to adjust first? He is so cute!

Bentley came along last night with the boys for some playtime with their pugs. He did very well, very outgoing. Only bad time was when I ran out to the car at the end to put some stuff away, and open the door so it would be easier to load all three back in again - I guess he literally SCREAMED in the house, when I was outside. Other than that, he was wonderful and seemed rather happy to bang around with his own kind LOL We'll do a lot of little rides and things.. I want him to realize he will always come home with me. None of those one way rides to who-knows-where anymore.

Awwww poor baby, he's been passed around so much, no wonder he thought you weren't comming back. The little trips sound like a good idea.
