We're fostering a little male smooth coat chihuahua. His elderly mom can no longer take care of him. Sweet little dog.

Do you think you might end up keeping him Pugdog? They are sweet, aren't they....at least most of them. LOL. I've heard of some feisty ones, but I dare say those weren't socialized well.

I love to meet nice Chihuahuas. We are only 60 miles from the Mexican border and in the Chihuahuan Desert. There's tons and tons of them and I've seen such a range of personalities. My neighbor, Louie The Dog, is a real pain. He doesn't like anybody, he runs loose, and he barks at everything. Also, he steals the neighbor kids' stuffed toys and humps them. Louie has lots of issues. Next door to him is another Chihuahua that is VERY tiny and not a good specimen. I'd guess 3lbs. MAX. The owners have taken to letting her loose now and I've seen her in the middle of the street several times,about to be run over. I've had to pick her up and put her inside their house. Good thing nobody locks their doors here. My good friend, Mimi the Chihuahua is a good looker, great personality, lovely daughter, but has developed a heart condition and has good days and bad days now.

Oh no. LOL. I'm a pug person. I don't mind fostering a chihuahua.. but no desire to keep him. He's TINY. He's under 3 lbs. I'm too used to my pugs.
I'm watching a friends 2 pugs til Sunday. Busy house here LOL

Wow, he is tiny Pugdog! My tiniest is 5 or 6 LBS....a moose! LOL.

Awe, thats cool. I bet they are adorable. Some Chi's are extra mean. I use to hate them bc I only ever met 1 and her anme was Nacho and she use to chase me down the stairs when I went to my friends house. I was scared to death. But then I met my step-dad's brother chihuahua's. Who had just had a litter of puppies, The momma was a EXTRA sweet dog who licked you all the time. She looked just like Tink exept a little bigger. (Sadly, She died after her puppy's were gone..got hit by a car

) and the daddy dog was MEAN. He hated people he didnt know. So out of that litter I had to favorite's. A male tri color..(mostly black) And Tinkerbell. In the end I picked Tink because (I dont know why) but I have always liked girl dogs more than boys.

I have a Chihuahua, her name is Shannon. She's beige with cream markings. And she's really friendly, she likes everyone.
