Any Samoyed owners on here?

Hi, just curious to know if there are Samoyed owners on the board? just for a chat or some advice on the breed or if they have any recommended sites i should visit before considering anything (now or later, will need to do research either way), but i would much prefer to rehome a rescue Samoyed as there are so many dogs out there that needs homes... so any advice either posted on the thread or as a PM would be greatly appricated

Hi, I have a Sammy.... I got him from a BYB (Yes I admit it, but I fell in love with him- no I do NOT recomend it). My next Sammy will be a rescue.
Look on Petfinder, they have LOTS of Sammys.

They are a great breed, though they need lots of grooming and training.

Hi thanks for replying, i've checked out PetFinder.com and its more US based and not in the UK, but thanks. Im sure their is a GB Club out there for Samoyed's i just haven't checked yet lol. Im just after some good advice, websites and books if anyone has any recommendations. I am not fussed with groom im quite happy with it lol and training is all part of the fun in owning a dog i think, they get to know you and you get to know them (in a way) lol

So if anyone else with a Samoyed have any advice, id love too hear it

Have you had a look at http://www.samoyedrescue.co.uk/ ? They might be able to help you as far as finding a rescue Samoyed is concerned?

We are looking to adopt a young samoyed. We live in the Arlington, Va and have a farm in southern PA.
