Ball (any ball... it can a be a soccer ball, or a baseball.. whatever it is, they love it)
Stuffie (Kira gets rid of them in like 3 sec.. but they make her happy all except the ones Joker likes, those he carries around in his mouth) They really haven’t show any interest in anything else, Frisbees are a waste of money here |

He LOVES anything squeekie but I find that a lot of squeekie toys are either plush, which he rips apart eventually (how long depends on how much he likes the toy...if he loves it it'll last longer) or very low quality thin rubber. I have recently found this squeekie devil ball that OC adores and from the feel of it the rubber is very think, so I'm hoping it will last. Tennis Balls ae a big hit with him too since he loves to fetch. Rawhide's ok, he likes them if he's bored so they last pretty long...and he likes to play fetch with them too. I've had good luck with dura-balls too. And of course he enjoys his kong and rope toys.
Cheers! |

My pugs favorites are the soft plush squeaky toys. Bentley thinks it is his mission in life to destroy the squeakies LOL. But even after the squeaky no longer squeaks, he plays with them.. he loves to play fetch, that pug actually jumps up in the air and grabs the toy mid-jump, he's gotten very good at it lol. My other two pugs aren't that ambitious. Once in awhile Oscar likes to gnaw on a hard plastic toy... maybe it feels good on his gums or something.

Bailey loves balls and squeeky toys. I have lots of treat balls and those work great as long as I watch her while she is playing. She gets the treat balls stuck in a corner and will dig at the carpet to get it out. Lucy likes what ever Bailey is playing with..LOL

Balls here... tennis balls, lacrosse balls, squishy balls, stuffy balls, soccer balls, basketballs, just any kind of ball.
Rope bones, frisbees, and Kongs were a waste of money for me. |

Our dogs like anything that has a food taste to it. Rawhide, ground Rawhide, bones, and I've never tried Kongs but I'm sure they'd eat at them untill the stuffing was out. Balls, discs, ropes, etc. they don't like or show an interest in.

My crew is partial to their bowling balls ( yep the real 10 pounders ) that they roll around outside, tennis balls, basketballs, ropes, spring pole, large nylabones and Wiggley Giggleys.

i've always been told that laser pens are a no-no when it comes to dogs. Someone maybe able to back me up, but I've also heard that you can end up with a neurotic dog as well. They see the light, they chase the light, but they can never catch it, there is no drive satisfaction, there is no reward, I don't use one, and on the advice of others I probably never will.

i just thought it was kinda funny. on a cold winter night after work i thought it was funny to shine the light all over the front yard and he would go nuts running after it. i figured it was an easy way to get some quick excersise. but i sure dont wanna mess him up mentally. i will admit thos that i dont use it often at all and if i do its not like its all the time. im gonan do some reserch on that now. damnit youve got me paranoid ![]() |

ya know after i said that this is what i started thinking.
how could there be no reward? he runs around chaseing it, i get him crazy sometimes i put it on the floor and he lunges at it and i shut it off, so he thinks he got it..... give him all the good boys i possibly can and reward him with a treat. hes happy im happy. how would he get "neurotic" from that? |

But he doesn't really physically ever get it. It's just a light that he chases and can never catch and tug and chew on at the end of the game.
I won't use one, it's like a playing fetch with a tennis ball, minus the dog-human interaction. It's a game void of any physical contact, in the human and "prey" sense. Just my opinion, not trying to say you're a bad owner for using one. ![]() |

aw man i didnt take it badly :P
our golden takes her ball up to the top of the stairs then drops it down, runs down and gets it and does that over and over. we all thought shes was just smart.....but i dont think shes neurotic for doing that without the dog-human interaction. hey, there dogs and they cant tell us what the hell there thinking. |
