Any Rottweiler owners on here?

Hi... I was just wondering if there were any rottweiler owners on here? I looked back over the threads and only saw two about rotties, one looked to be a flame attempt.

Just curious.

I don't own a Rottie, but I LOVE them. Well ok, I take that back. I kinda own a Rottie. He is mostly Lab, but he might have Rottie in him. *shrugs* Who knows.
I was at the park a couple of days ago and this couple brought three Rotties. One was full grown and the other two were puppies. I have to question the couple though, because not only was there a leash law (with a 300.00$ fine) at the park and their dogs weren't on leash, the pups didn't even have a collar on. And the dogs also didn't look responsibly bred, because the adult was weedy (I almost mistook it for a Dobe at first glance, but then I saw the boxy head) and the pups had weird markings. But the were really friendly!

I just recently gave away my rottie pup to a new home. We miss her dearly.

She was the sweetest and smartest dog. Just wanted to be loved. I love the breed!

That could possibly be because the rott wasn't full grown yet. Once they hit about 2-3 years of age, they start to bulk out. They can look pretty lanky at first!

I've never owned one, but have worked with a few and some of my friends are Rottie owners. Great breed, and I wouldn't hesitate to have one of my own, if the situation came my way.

I have a soft spot for large, guardian breeds!

I can't imagine there was a flame attempt over a Rottie here on GlobalPaw! I'll have to do a search.

I don't own one currently but did years ago, her name was Aggie and she was a darling girl. Unfortunatly someone stole her while she was in my fenced in back yard when I stepped across the street to check my mail. Just that quick she was gone.

I still think of her often and only hope that the person that took her was at least good to her, the thought of someone treating her badly to this day just breaks my heart.

I had a Choc lab (Jester) for 12 yrs, had to put him down, very sad. We now have a 4 yr old big male rotty, and I'll personally never own another breed. He was the best pupil in puppy kindergarten and obedience out of all the others, he never stops making me proud.

I don't like the stigma that surrounds this loving breed. We get nasty stares and scowls (not to mention fearful looks) from others when they see him. They act like they need to protect their dogs. But it's not my dog that's acting like a freak, it's always theirs. He's just like a lab in different clothing..... I could go on and on.

-J
