Anyone have strange weather lately?
It got into the low 70's (F) yesterday where I live (new record here). In New England this really strange. It usually snowing and way lower temperature than that in January. |

Yes, I agree its strange. I saw a special on the NBC Nightly News about it and they said it was the "El Nino" effect. As the cold weather passes the Rockies, the warm south air is pushing it straight north, keeping it in Canada. This is keeping us warm.....I'm not complaining! Last year, it was well below freezing (including the wind chill) and I hated it! So 40's in January is fine by me!

It's quite stormy out right now, which isn't much of a change... Though I do wish the temperature would drop 20 degrees so we could get some snow...
Oh well - maybe next year... (fat chance...lol) |

We are definetly having strange weather. It's usually very cold in Florida during the month of January, but we've had maybe 4 days total that were considerably "cold". It's supposed to cool down this week, but it's nothing like last year. The entire month of January was atleast cool, but it's been so hot.

It's been unseasonably warm here for most of the winter( long johns but not ski pants for dog walking
) . It snowed a bit this morning but not really any accumulation. We're supposed to be back in the deep freeze on Thursday tho ![]() |

It's Summer here in Australia and a normal temp for summer is somewhere between..."so hot you'll dehydrate from sweating so much" and "step into the sun and you'll burn to dust". However this year it's been quite cool and almost Autumn/early winter temps (with only a few warmer days). Kind of scary really.

The temps have been really warm here lately (near DC). It is supposed to be cooler next week. We are headed for Alabama next week so I am going to have to check the weather to figure out what kind of clothes to take.

Oh yeah, the weather is unusual. This is Colorado -- the place where we get big snow and 2 days later we are out on bicycles and shorts. In less than 30 days we've had a blizzard followed by 2 storms and prediction of more. The temps have been so low that the previous snow is not melting.

Usually it's stinking hot where I am during summer (around 35-40C, but it's been quite pleasant weather (around 25C) which is quite surprising! I don't know what's going on, but I'm loving this cooler weather and all the rain and storms that have come with it. We have had a few humid days, probably because of all the rain.

Our last snowfall with any measureable accumulation was our ONLY snowfall back in the beginning of December. Ever since.... 35-50 degree temps. We should be well below freezing now that we're in January and still seeing temps continuously averaging about 40. It's suppose to cool down by Thursday and maybe snow a little. I hope so!
All of the ski resorts here in WI have been taking a hard hit through this warm season. It's been too warm to even make snow for the slopes! Some die hards still get out there on the man made snow and stick it out but it's been really bad. Many of us think that our spring is going to be snow filled this year since we haven't really gotten a winter yet. These are more like late fall temps. |

This means I am not the only one experiencing weird weather.
![]() It rained a lot today where I live. The roads were a little flooded in some areas. Unusual for January too. |

It's been uncharacteristically mild and WET here, rained almost every day these past few weeks. We're supposed to get snow tomorrow, fingers crossed! LOL
